Week of November 20th - 24th 

It was wonderful seeing you all again during parent-teacher conferences. I'm so impressed at the progress of all the students in the class. They have been working hard! 

We are almost into December and are working hard on our Christmas concert preparation. Just a reminder that it will be on December 14th with an 8:30 AM show and a 1:15 PM show. There will be more information closer to the date. 

We will also be making 'Stone soup' the following day on Friday, December 15th. There will be a letter home soon asking for a small contribution of vegetables from each child. 

Home Literacy bags will be going home again starting Monday. Please return their plastic Ziploc "home reading" bags to school. In general I ask that you read with your child for about 10 minutes each night or engage them in a board game or a card game. 

In math, we are going to be starting to learn addition to 10 and we will continue to explore the 100's chart. 

In S.S. we are going to be learning about our City, our Country and moving into family traditions for the holiday season.

 Week of November 15-17th, 2023

What a busy short week! 

We have been starting to learn about number lines as well as working on filling out our hundreds chart. 

We have been doing a lot of reading CVC words and have begun to write about our weekends during writing time. 

Just a reminder that conference booking begins tomorrow morning. Conferences are on Thursday November 23rd from 4-8PM and Friday, November 24th from 8AM - 12PM.

A short week! The Remembrance Day Assembly was a success and the children really immersed themselves in learning about why we celebrate it. They created some beautiful art with Poppies in class. 

I hope you all have a wonderful Fall Break and enjoy the gorgeous weather we've been having.

Just a reminder that we have our Remembrance Day Assembly on November 8th. Fall Break will then begin after that day from Thursday November 9th and we return on Wednesday, November 15th.
