It was such a pleasure to meet with you all and get to know you. This year is off to a fantastic start and I'm excited for all that is to come :) 

With Monday being a holiday, it will be a short week next week. We are learning about Fall and will be going on a community walk to investigate signs of Fall and will be doing some sketching. We are continuing to complete our Fall book and will talk about how plants and animals change in the Fall. We will be doing various pumpkin activities leading up to end of October and we have some Fall art we're working on. 

In math we will continue our work with numbers to 10 and will be learning many ways to represent them such as tally marks, ten frames, number lines and pictures. 

We are doing some amazing STEM building! 

In math, the kids were given 10 counters and asked to make an animal out of them. This is a mosquito! 

The kids ran hard for the Terry Fox run! I'm so proud of them. 

Terry Fox Update

Our Terry Fox Run was a huge success!

Through the generosity of the community, the school raised $2,025.05

I will make sure to keep my promise and wear a tutu on Friday October 4.

Alien In-Line Skating

I would like all families to know that for the next two weeks Physical Education will take place outside because the gym is being used for the grade 3/4 Alien Inline Residency. 

Please come everyday prepared to get active outside with close toed shoes (i.e. no crocs or sandals), sweaters, jackets, and mitts and toques if needed.
