Happy Tuesday...sorry this is a late post - it was a busy week of leprechaun trap making and preparing for parent-teacher conferences. 

I hope you have all had a chance to sign up for an ONLINE conference this Thursday afternoon 4:00-8:00 and Friday morning from 8:00 - 12:00. 

We had SO MUCH fun last week designing and making our Leprechaun traps! It was a sea of green and gold in the class. Unfortunately we didn't catch one but each student was left a gold chocolate coin and our classroom was a mess from our friendly leprechaun. 

Spring Break is fast approaching...I hope you all have a great break and find some time to enjoy the outdoors :)  I will not be sending home any homework - I just always ask that you're reading with your child at least 10 minutes each day. 

We are starting a bunch of new learning units. In math, we have started to learn about balanced equations. In SS we will be starting our mapping unit and in Science, we're finishing off our unit on movement. We will also be starting to learn about "r-controlled" vowels after Spring break.

 Happy Friday! 

We had a very exciting week with 2 of our eagle eggs hatching and a 3rd is currently hatching as we speak! Next week we will be holding a naming contest for all the eaglets. 

We will also be building our Leprechaun traps starting on Wednesday and then will have them all set up when we leave on Friday to try to catch a Leprechaun! 

We have finished our learning about urban, rural and suburban communities and will be moving on to map skills. 

We had an awesome community walk with our grade 4 buddies to the Pirate park today!
