Thanks to those who have already sent in baby pictures - we're waiting for a few more and then we'll complete our activity this next week.

We planted our bean seeds this week and are waiting for them to start growing. We will be planting our vegetable garden in the next couple of weeks and will be watching the progress of the plants.

We have our zoo trip coming up on May 27th! Forms will be going out this next week. I will let you know if I need more volunteers :)

In math we have started our balancing equations unit and have been working on 6 + 3 = 15 - 9 and deciding if it's equal or NOT equal.

I hope you all have a chance to enjoy your Mother's Day weekend! and spend some time in the sun :)

 May 1st

We have enjoyed a couple of community walks this week to the Pirate park where the kids discovered a nest of ladybugs!

On our walk, we looked for signs of spring and found many buds coming out on the trees.

In SS we have been compare past and present and I'm planning an activity where I need a baby picture of your child between 3 months and a year old please. You can email me a picture and I'll print it out here or you can send in a printed picture which will be returned to you. We are going to do a mural and guess who's picture it is.

In math we have been working on subtraction from 20 and have completed fact families and missing addends. We are moving on to balancing equations.

We will be planting our bean seeds this week and will be observing the growth of the roots, stem and leaves.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend in the sun!
