 Week of November 3rd - 7th

We survived the super moon this week!

We are learning how to represent numbers to 20 in many different ways and have been practicing our tally marks and tens frames.

We celebrated our 30th day of school and Zero the Hero hid 30 pumpkins around the room....he almost fooled us but we managed to find the last one after about 10 minutes of looking.

Just a reminder to dress for the weather - we go outside everyday and I know the snow caught a few of us by surprise on Friday.

We have been doing a lot of great reading in class. I am going to be giving your child a folder for their backpack. When we complete our UFLI decodable passages and our 'roll and read' games, the kids will put them into their folders to bring home to practice. Please have them read to you and practice reading CVC (consonant/vowel/consonant) words. These are words then can sound out easily with a short vowel sound in the middle.

Have a wonderful Fall Break and I'll see you soon at parent - teacher conferences :)
